Who’s afraid of the big, bad wolf? Not Snow White. Not Humpty Dumpty. But as for the rest of the town, well, if they can just get past his nasty hair, they might just change their mind about him after all. As for Jack and Jill, they must find a way to justify what really happened when they climbed that hill or else they might meet the same fate as Little Red Riding Hood and her ever-so-soulful grandmother.
The St. Joseph Drama Club will present Scary Harry, Quite Contrary, beginning February 17th and running on weekends through March 3rd. The St. Joseph Drama Club is in its 35th season of producing original musical comedies. Every show is unique and features a lot of popular music from many different eras. Audiences truly love coming to these performances because it is an experience not so typical in theatre. With cabaret style seating, audiences sit at tables with their friends and many even choose to bring in appetizers and food for the show. Soft drinks and beer are served before the show and at intermission. “Our shows are more like an event than a typical Broadway show. We rely heavily on audience reaction, and sometimes participation, to make our shows a success,” says Kevan Brown. “Generally speaking, people who don’t normally attend theatrical events leave our show commenting on how much fun they had”.
